Electro Harmonic Micro Synthesizer

Electro Harmonix Micro Synthesizer

This thing is advertised as an "Analog Synth for Guitar", but we quickly learned that you can tweak just about any instrument into oblivion with this device.

Classic yet futuristic.

Though the Micro Synthesizer has a definite fat analog classic 70s funk sound reminiscent of Rick James and even the ability to produce cleaner tones similar to those of Pink Floyd and King Crimson, the square wave and envelope swell features allow for the player to give many instruments a sound like nothing else. This box is great for giving instruments the neccesary freakness to make thick jungle bassline tones and action. You can also get an "acid" feel by playing with the frequency and resonance controls.

This is what Electro Harmonix has to say about their effect:

"From the classic vintage sounds of the great early Moog(tm) synthesizer to wild custom creations, the Micro Synthesizer for Guitar lets the player create those fat analog synthesizer sounds heard on records by everyone from George Clinton to the Police to the Chemical Brothers. The compact layout of 10 slider controls lets the sonically adventurous guitarist dial in a virtually limitless array of analog synthesizer sounds."

The effect slider controls are listed as:

Trig, Sub Octave, Guitar, Octave, Square Wave, Attack Delay, Resonance, Start Freq, Stop Freq, Rate
